Creating a blog to document the things I make has been on my mind for a while. My sister was the one who encouraged me to get things going.

In my spare time (or often as procrastination), I keep my hands busy making things. It probably started with drawing, then knitting and crochet, to painting and sewing and also some baking. I enjoy that I can make something useful (most of the time) out of seemingly ordinary materials. I’m no expert by any means but I do enjoy improving my skills, learning new techniques and challenging myself.

This blog is a work in progress as I learn how to work WordPress. As I meander through my craft projects, I hope to post photos up here and write a little bit about them.

The title of this blog is inspired by the children’s book The Tailor of Gloucester by Beatrix Potter. Reading this book as a child I was enamoured by the intricate illustrations of embroidery and my imagination was fascinated by the thought of little mice sewing by candlelight through the night.

Also! Follow my account on Instagram to stay updated on when I make a blog post.

Thanks for stopping by.

Jocelyn
